DESCRIPTION Welcome to my Lower Energy workout series. These workouts are designed to be lower intensity with an easier pace for those days when you still want a bit of a challenge, but don’t have full energy. Each workout has modifications shown throughout for you to customize what level you want to workout at. The exercises are easy to follow and will leave you feeling accomplished, but not fatigued!
THE SET INCLUDES:
Cardio Barre (34 min): A gentle, flowing cardio barre routine with no equipment other than a chair. Lots of side bends and leg raises in this one to work the core, weightless arms and of course a lot of lower body to work the booty and thighs.
Cardio Strength (28 min): all standing cardio sculpt workout has moderate strength exercises and a few low impact cardio bursts interspersed throughout. You will see a lot of compound moves to keep the heart rate elevated, but the pace is slower and controlled. It is one of the tougher ones in the series, but you can always drop the weights or slow things down if needed.
Pilates Mat (20 min): a comprehensive mat workout to work mostly lower, but also core and some upper body. It is a 40 seconds work 10 seconds rest workout with no equipment, but you could definitely add ankle weights to spice things up! There are side laying exercises, modified planks, back laying abs, and a glute bridge series near the end.
Cardio Pilates (23 min): all standing Pilates style workout using a band to challenge the lower body and light hand weights for the arms and cardio factor. There are a few exercises with a bit of cardio factor and others with some balance challenges - overall lots of variety and fun music to make the time fly!
Walk and Tone (29 min): a fun standing walking workout with lots of variety. A slightly slower pace with easy to follow exercises to elevate your heart rate slightly but with no puffing!
What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time. These workouts will hit all those trouble spots and best of all you don't even need to wear shoes to do them! Get ready to sweat, puff and burn - hopefully you'll love every minute of it!
