Welcome to the Precision Training Series. These 4 workouts are designed to sculpt all your problem areas, building a lean, defined physique. You will use extra equipment to intensify all the best target specific mat exercises. Using an overload principle and small, precise movements these workouts will challenge you like nothing else!

THE WORKOUTS ARE:

Mat (44 mins): using a Pilates ring you will start with kneeling, large range of motion exercises to heat up the body, then move to inner thigh squeezes, outer thighs exercises and an abs segment with lots of oblique focus, then there’s a challenging pretzel routine and finally a glute and lower back finisher.

Ball (54 mins): you will start with some standing cardio to heat the body, move into deeper squats and lunges, then hit the mat using the ball to elevate your upper body for outer and inner thigh raise combinations, then move to front of thigh and a tough glute bridge set. You will finish with inner thigh squeezes with abdominal engagement and a lengthening stretch.

Band (57 mins): start with a flowing warm up using the band with large range of motion moves, add the loop in a figure 8 for squats and lunges with upper body engagement, then move to the mat to work abs, inner and outer thighs, glutes in a tough pretzel set and finish with some isolated arm work to really burn out the shoulders, biceps and triceps.

Barre (57 mins): after a quick warm up you will move into a standing ballet arms segment, then use the ball in a standing thigh set and a bent over glute series with the ball behind the knee, then move to the mat for an intense abs set, inner thigh squeezes, a tough pretzel set and finishing with plank combinations and a stretch.

What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time. These workouts will hit all those trouble spots and best of all you don't even need to wear shoes to do them!
