Best Pregnancy Workout DVDs

If you love to exercise and just can't bear to give it up during your pregnancy, then the great news is that you don't have to! Obviously the first step is to clear with your doctor that it is ok for you to continue exercising, but once you do have the go ahead there are many possibilities to stay in shape during your pregnancy. One of the safest ways to stay fit is to utilize one of the many pregnancy workout dvds on the market today. Whether you like Pilates, Yoga, Toning or cardio workouts, there will be a Pregnancy DVD to suit your taste.

The key is to read reviews and make sure that the instructor actually knows what they are talking about! Generally if they are pregnant themselves that is a good sign that they will be sensitive to the changing needs of a prenatal body. 5.0 out of 5 stars This is wonderful!
I love this DVD! It is getting colder where I live and harder for me to walk outside like I would like. I do this at least 4 times a week and it makes me feel wonderful!! It is easy to follow and the 10 minute segments are great! Especially for someone who gets bored easily like me! The fact that I can switch them up and do the ones I want on any given day is a nice feature as well! I just entered my 6th month and I am sure that I will do this all the way until the end.

 loved it!

I love love loved this video during pregnancy. I did it twice a week along with light cardio a few days throughout my pregnancy up until the last 3 weeks. I feel like it really helped my core a ton and over all just helped me stay in shape. My belly was literally all baby..As soon as I delivered my stomach was pretty flat again. I can't help but think doing this twice a week is what helped me accomplish my stomach being baby only. I overall still have a little baby weight to lose but nothing like I expected. I also didn't get any stretch marks on my belly! I totally recommend this video for pregnant women.

Excellent – I still use it after the baby
This video is awesome! I used it all 3 trimesters. With the video being broken down into 10 minute workouts, it allowed me to workout more often without my busy schedule getting in the way or being too tired. I had a great labor. No tears, all natural with no epidural. I pushed for less than 30 minutes. I still use the workout today post pregnancy just with heavier weights. I highly recommend this video.

Certified instructor description: Each of the four different workouts is focused on a specific goal. The moves are ballet-inspired and pregnancy-aware, but not "dumbed down" (this is a great way for regular exercisers to stay in shape throughout their pregnancy). The first program is classic lower-body barrework. The second series is also ballet-oriented. It begins with dumbbell-enhanced standing moves and ends with Pilates corework. Next, it's aero/tone intervals — gentle cardio segments intermixed with dancer-type toning. The final section is a relaxing stretch program that includes both yoga and athletic-style stretches. A 35-week pregnant exerciser performs the workout while Suzanne offers guidance and tips.

 Challenging and Fun

I really enjoyed this workout, so much so that I came to Collage Video today to buy more of Suzanne Bowen's workouts. I am an intermediate exercise and I bought this DVD as my hubby and I are trying to start a family so I thought this would be great to have when the time comes. This DVD is a challenge even if you aren't pregnant. I can not recommend this enough if you are a fan of ballet/barre type workouts. - posted by Janelle

I like this workout, it's challenging enough for the experienced barre exerciser. There needs to be more advanced workouts! Thus is a precise workout and I'm sure with consistency and get the results I'm looking for! - posted by Jennifer

Tracy Anderson Post Pregnancy Workout

Product Description:
I am so proud that you have chosen me as your teacher and design your healthiest body. I have dedicated over a decade to creating the tools, movements, and prescriptions to keep your muscles awake and alert and be able to give you the body you desire. No one in fitness has ever created the collection of content that the Tracy Anderson Method delivers to you. With this program, your results will never plateau or fail you like any fitness programs you may have tried in the past.

This DVD is for new moms who want to start their workouts after giving birth but do not want to push themselves too hard to get back into shape with traditional workout DVDs. While similar to other Tracy Anderson Method workouts, this post-pregnancy DVD focuses on regaining your abdominal strength and helping the skin on you stomach adhere to your muscles again. This is a restorative workout hat I also recommend for older clients or people with injuries. This is a complete Tracy Anderson Method workout and is also great for beginners to the Method as they can also learn the basics and fundamentals. I recommend that you do this workout until you feel you have completely regained your strength and can begin your Metamorphosis workouts. Love, Tracy

“Truly a miracle. Never did I imagine that in my 30s, after two children, I would be able to change my body to the degree to which I have. Tracy’s method works! All you have to do is put the time in and you will see results you never thought possible.” – Gwyneth Paltrow

Certified instructor description: An often-challenging, post-pregnancy workout led by Tracy Anderson (who looks great after gaining 60 pounds during her own pregnancy). It's mostly abdominal floorwork — from traditional crunches, curls and planks to near-advanced-level pulses and "pikes" (a curl with both legs off the ground). That's followed by lower-body floorwork and a standing arm segment. Some moves are tough, but Tracy always offers optional modifications and lots of "been there" encouragement ("lift if you can; I know this is hard…"). Note: This workout's cuing is different. Tracy begins each series with detailed instruction. But the rest of the sequence is barely cued at all; instead, you just follow along, listening to a tranquil classical music soundtrack.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME!!!!!!!!

I have to say, this is the best workout ever! I had a c-section last year and although I lost all the weight rather quickly, I was plagued by loose hanging tummy skin. I never ever ever thought that it was possible to pull skin back to muscle, and thought that this was the best it would be. Then I found Tracy Anderson and learned the error of my ways ;) I've been doing this video for exactly 6 weeks now and my body has never looked so good! I can't beleive it, almost all of that hanging skin has smoothed back out (just a small bit left around my belly button)and my muscles are more defined than ever, not to mention my newly aquired rump :) There's no doubt that you have to be consistent with it, but when you see results within the first 7 to 10 workout sessions, who wouldn't want to be consistant? Let's face it, you're not going to get an awesome body by doing 10 minute workouts twice a week. A lot of people have complained that she doesn't give much instruction, I personally like that aspect, and seriously, if you actually do the video, it really only takes a couple of times to get the timing right. All in all this is a great routine and I am so glad to have found it, really I never thought my stomach could ever look this good again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent abs, butt & arms workout!

I now own all 3 of the new Tracy Anderson Method dvds & this one is the hardest! I've been doing the mat workout 6x a week for 3 weeks & getting stronger & just did this post pregnancy workout & was whimpering like a baby during it because it was so hard! I've never had a baby but who doesn't need better abs? I love the ballet (classical) music & ballet influences to her workouts, she subliminally reminds us of the goal: to get a ballet dancer's body! (Strong & lean) That's what I'm committed to do this for! I love her instructional style: not much talking, just enough instruction. All 3 dvds arrived super fast too! Thanks Tracy, if you make them I will buy them! More please!

5.0 out of 5 stars WONDERFUL!!!

I just got this DVD and started doing the workout. My baby turned 1 last month but I have 4 children. My body is a mess. :) This workout is so relaxing to do b/c of the classical music and her background. She's also educating you as to what is happening with our bodies post pregnancy. Most of these moves I've never seen before and are really hard which means I have many weak muscles. She's very motivating and inspiring. It's definitely different from other workout DVD's I've done but it's a pleasant change. I have been doing her other 2 DVD's this last month and have seen results already! I mean results where people tell you "Wow, you look toned" So as hard as these are, in time you get better and stronger and it really works!!!! I love Tracy Anderson!!
